Fr. Kerry Takashi berichtet: Wir trafen uns in Rom am Hafen. Ich zeigte dem Hochzeitspaar dem Markt. Dann sahen wir die Bäder, das Kolosseum und das Soldaten Traininglager. Dann liefen wir weiter und sahen den Mithrastempel. Am Ende der Tour fuhren wir nach Ostia. Das Hochzeitspaar tourte dann alleine weiter.

Eine Hochzeitsreise
Zwei Berliner haben geheiratet und eines ihrer Hochzeitsgeschenke war eine Hochzeitsreise. Geplant wurde die von mir, Gwen, durchgeführt wird sie von verschieden Freiwilligen in Second Life, die einem frisch vermählten Ehepaar gerne ein paar romantische Stunden schenken wollen.
Letzten Donnerstag ging es erst auf die traumhafte Pirateninsel Neverwhere und dann auf die Malediven in Second Life.

Blutmai
Als Blutmai werden die Unruhen vom 1. bis 3. Mai 1929 in Berlin bezeichnet, bei denen durch unverhältnismäßige Härte der Polizei zahlreiche Demonstranten und Unbeteiligte durch die Polizei getötet oder verletzt wurden.
Die Bezeichnung Blutmai geht auf den Streikaufruf der KPD vom 2. Mai 1929 zurück, in dem es hieß: „Zörgiebels Blutmai − das ist ein Stück Vorbereitung des imperialistischen Krieges! Das Gemetzel unter der Berliner Arbeiterschaft − das ist das Vorspiel für die imperialistische Massenschlächterei!“
Wir haben ja die Aufforderung von Polizeipräsident Karl Friedrich Zörgiebel bekommen. Ja, er hat ausdrücklich das Demonstrationsverbot bekräftigt.

Since 1924 Public demonstrations have been forbidden.
There have been no problems with this for the last 5 years.
About half a year ago a political gathering by the NSDAP ended in street fighting and several people died.
After these horrible days our respected Polizeipräsident Karl Friedrich Zörgiebel made it clear that from 13 december 1928 onwards political gatherings in the open air would not be allowed.
This decision has received massive support from the people in Berlin who generally are sick and tired of the many skirmishes in their city.
This temporary law was created for the protection of the public and to keep the peace.
We expect the people of Berlin to respect the law, if they decide to demonstrate anyway they can expect to be treated as trouble makers and criminals.
Certain elements in this city have announced that they will demonstrate anyway.
The police have received reinforcements and will accept no disobedience, civilians will follow all orders given by the police or will have to deal with the consequences.
All parties have permission to gather and have their may 1st celebrations, as long as it is not outdoors.
There is no reason to go out on the streets in groups only if the motive is causing trouble and bringing even more tension to our city.

Bar Mitzwa und Bat Mitzwa - ein jüdisches Fest für 13jährige
Heute abend haben wir uns über Bar Mitzwa unterhalten, einem traditionellen jüdischen Fest um die religiöse Mündigkeit von 13jährigen Jungs und 12jährigen Mädchen zu feiern.
Wir haben auch gelernt, daß es jetzt in Berlin einen Rabbi gibt. Das ist ja spannend.

BAAL by Berthold Brecht
How exciting the idea to re-enact a theatre play in the Odeon theatre in Berlin of the 20s. How did this idea come about? The other day, we were thinking of what to present on 15th of October for the SLanguages conference and this is what we decided.

Bad but keen
I am a bad student because Life keeps getting in the way and preventing me from attending regularly, or even on the right day!
BUT
Last Thursday I attended the evening class and I was thrilled. There were three other students there, they could all speak some German, and they all entered into the spirit of being self-invented characters in 1920's Berlin and they took turns in telling parts of their story in German. (There was very little English used in this session). The teacher's task was to listen, make approving comments and sometimes reformulate using written chat. I am looking forward to when this group turn their emerging conversations into a script and act themselves in a Machima film version!
